Zack and I went to the RFT’s Best of STL party last night at the City Museum.  I’ve never been to the City Museum before so I was psyched to check it out without having to buy a ticket and with three free drinks in my hand.  However, I underestimated the draw of “free food and drinks.”  City Museum was PACKED.  We got there right at 7pm and had to wait in line for 40 minutes just to get in the door.  Then, there were long lines inside to get food and drinks.  We ended up staying until 9:30pm, after tasting 4 different restaurants, 3 drinks and enjoying some of the City Museum.  What a cool place though!  I will definitely be back when it’s not so crowded!

It seems like we went to the wrong party last night.  I kept seeing updates from Twitter about midget wrestling at the Coolfire party.  I mean, even @JimBarnthouse was dancing by the end of the night.

As far as this weekend, there’s not much going on (that I know of anyway!) but below are a few ideas if you’re at a loss for what to do.  I think I’m going to use this weekend to check out some new places in South City.

11/7 – Air Hockey Tournament - at Black Thorn, corner of Wyoming and Spring, BIAS 4 HOCKEY

  • 4:30-5:30 pm – Concert featuring Jesse Irwin
  • 5:30-? Air Hockey Tournament and Raffle

11/7,8 – BarCamp St. Louis 2009 - at Wash U

11/10 – FUEL Monthly Happy Hour - at Aya Sofia, 6671 Chippewa
The FUEL happy hours are always laid back and casual.  Great for meeting new people in the city and networking.  Check out their upcoming events if you can’t make it this month.  There’s a Dogtown Poker Pub Crawl that Zack and I are doing on November 21st
